If you're looking for an open source e-commerce solution then
this is a great contender. The Prestashop solution uses a MySQL
database and is uses php.
The good thing with the software is that it incorporates Web
2.0 functions such as tags and more. The backend is a lot more
simple than a system such as osCommerce which can be quite daunting
when you first look at it. Prestashop also has the ability for
different themes to be used although there aren't that many. This
system is definitely one to look out for.
